PubEasy, the Global Publishing e-Marketplace announced today plans
to introduce the new centrally hosted global service PubEasy/EXCHANGE at the
Frankfurt Book Fair. PubEasy/EXCHANGE enables small and medium sized publishers,
distributors and wholesalers (Affiliates) to easily join PubEasy and trade with
booksellers around the world. Each company that joins the PubEasy/EXCHANGE service
launches a full featured PubEasy B2B "store front" with their own logo and
presence to all booksellers connected on the global PubEasy e-Marketplace.
PubEasy/EXCHANGE allows small and medium sized Affiliates to trade
directly and electronically with their bookselling customers thereby increasing sales,
saving time and significantly reducing the high costs associated with launching a B2B
e-commerce web site. PubEasy/EXCHANGE is open to small companies regardless of their
geographic location. Booksellers can access PubEasy/EXCHANGE Affiliates to check on
up-to-date title, price and availability, place orders and access e-Catalogs over the
Internet on a 24 hour, 7-day per week basis.
Booksellers who subscribe to PubEasys /TRANSACT premium service for
processing "batched" orders and inquiries can also trade with PubEasy/EXCHANGE
Affiliates.
"/EXCHANGE is the first global, Internet B2B service that facilitates booksellers
to do business directly with the small and medium sized publishers who are traditionally
hard to reach but contribute greatly to each markets sales volume." said Peter
F. Clifton, Chief Executive Officer of PubEasy. "Booksellers want a single point of
access, a standard way of transacting over the web and minimal frustration. PubEasy
facilitates this on behalf of the small and medium sized publishers who make up the
fragmented segment of the supply chain. Many publishers from around the world have come to
us and are seeking a fast, affordable global e-commerce solution and cant justify
the high-costs of maintaining a complicated in-house system. /EXCHANGE provides an
outsourced, 24/7 hosted solution that will also tie them into the PubEasy network of
websites and exposure to the rapidly growing PubEasy bookseller user base."
