The Book Service Ltd and Grantham Book Services are pleased to announce that they have implemented the ability to view Proof of Delivery information on their PubEasy.com site. Proof of Delivery information, also offered by other Affiliates, allows you to inquire on order status and view a P.O.D. signature and date where applicable. P.O.D. information is available when you select "General Order Status Inquiry" from the Main Menu on Affiliate sites.

On the TBS site, P.O.D.'s are currently listed for all Securicor domestic deliveries dispatched which accounts for around 70 percent of all packages delivered. TBS is working closely with other carriers and freight forwarders to ensure full coverage and hopes to soon add the P.O.D. information for Grantham Book Services.

Bookpoint has recently implemented back order inquiry on its PubEasy.com site. Many other Affiliates also offer Back Order Inquiry which allows you to search for your orders that are currently on back order and view details of orders on back order during a specific time period. To check your back orders, select "Back Order Inquiry" from the Main Menu on Affiliate sites.

Whitaker Introduces Enhanced Bibliographic Data (30-day free trial subscription)

Booksellers who register for free on PubEasy.com have always been provided with limited free search and display capabilities on Whitaker's bibliographic database (at Whitaker BookSearch on PubEasy.com). These searches are by ISBN, Title or Author and display a basic level of information that includes: Title, ISBN, Author, Binding, Price (ex tax), Availability, Publisher, Distributor and Wholesaler. This level of information will continue to be FREE to booksellers with a PubEasy.com password.

Whitaker is now pleased to introduce a new level of enhanced bibliographic information at Whitaker BookSearch on PubEasy.com. This new service provides full access to Whitaker's bibliographic database, with up to 120 fields of rich extended bibliographic information including Descriptions, BIC Classifications, Tables of Contents, Prizes, Author Biographies and Book Jackets from the Whitaker BookCovers service.

The new levels of access can be used only by paying subscribers to Whitaker BookSearch. Whitaker is pleased to offer a free 30 day free trial for all booksellers who are not current subscribers.

To access the enhanced service you can use the same free search functionality and then click on the hyperlink on the Title/ISBN column in the results screen. The link will take you to the enhanced bibliographic data for the selected title. Please note, the hyperlink will only appear if

you have subscribed to the enhanced service, or if you are reviewing the service on a 30-day free trial. Subscribers to Whitaker BookBank will have access to this enhanced information at no additional charge. For registered users of PubEasy.com this enhanced service is now available at £1275 per annum, less than £25 per week.

If you prefer not to subscribe to the enhanced level of Whitaker BookSearch on PubEasy.com, you will continue to have access to the free level of Whitaker BookSearch as before.

Affiliate Website Upgrades
We recently announced that all Affiliate websites would be upgraded to provide the following improved functionality:

* Automatic price and availability inquiry access at all "live" sites – with or without a business account

Users now have free access to title, price and availability information at all Affiliate PubEasy.com websites, regardless of whether you have a business account with that Affiliate. Placing orders and tracking the status of orders will still require that you have an account with the Affiliate(s) of your choice. You can now access any site on the PubEasy.com network simply by logging in with your password.

* Consolidation of the "search and check availability" and "shopping cart" options on the main menu of every PubEasy.com website

We have combined the "search and check availability" and "shopping cart" options on the main menu into one option called "search and check availability." "Search and check availability" searches now includes the ability to add titles to the shopping cart for easy ordering. You no longer need to choose between "search and check availability" and "shopping cart" in order to add titles to the shopping cart - the features are now combined into one option.

* Increased password security

Once the upgrades are complete, a new web based registration system will go into effect. Booksellers who register for the first time will do so on the web and receive instant notification via email of their password details. With their password they will be allowed access to any PubEasy.com website for price and availability checks. Finding or changing passwords will also be done on the web. Booksellers who already have a password and wish to add additional users will be able to set them up on the new registration web pages as well.
